Getting away from your everyday life, even for very short periods, can be immensely valuable: a yoga retreat can refresh you, relax you, revitalise you, and give you more perspective on your activities, helping you to sort out what is important and what isn’t. I can’t tell you much about my retreats next year, but I do have the dates!
SAVE THE DATES!

The sisters were warm and friendly, the food and facilities excellent…Sarah and Sally show so much love and empathy with each yoga session being fulfilling and beneficial…I have learnt so much in a short time and feel stronger and more peaceful…I came away feeling refreshed, restored and ready to move forward. Thank you so much for the care, inspiration and encouragement.
Dorset Mini Retreats can be a great way of learning more deeply about some aspect of yoga or chanting in an intensive yet peaceful way. Between one and three people come and stay with me, generally from 11.00 am one day, to 11.30 the following day, studying and practising. Alternatively it may be that you could do with time away from your usual life to find some stillness, some clarity, some peace. If this is the case for you you might like to discuss it with me so that we can choose a time for you to come by yourself, and the time can be tailored to your needs.
Cost, including up to 5.5 hours of tuition, food and accommodation: £250 for one person; £150 when there are two or three people.
The Old Bakery, Blandford Hill, Milborne St Andrew, Blandford Forum, Dorset DT11 0JB

A yoga retreat and holiday, June 14-18, 2020 at La Loma, a Permaculture centre.
For four years now, during June, I have taught at La Loma, a beautiful place high above the sea of southern Spain (look it up at www.lalomaviva.com). It is run by Karen and Ryan, followers, practitioners and teachers of Permaculture, an inspirational movement which finds and disseminates ways of sustaining us all without endangering our planet. We stay in cool rooms, are fed delicious food, relax and absorb the healing serenity and peace of the place. The weather has been just about perfect, although there can be heatwaves – but La Loma is built to keep people cool, and it has a beautiful swimming pool as well.
It is a time for you to be away from your everyday life, relax, and do what is right for you in a beautiful place, with delicious organic food provided. There are three optional yoga sessions a day and also the opportunity to have an individual lesson with me to develop your own personal practice.
Here are some things participants have shared:
‘La Loma is a truly magical venue. The healing energy of the mountains, the nourishing views to the sea, the superb food, comfortable rooms and beautiful fresh water pool create the perfect environment for stepping away from the world. Add to this the heart-centred work that goes into running this eco-friendly permaculture Centre – the soul really is restored after just a few days here.
Sarah’s yoga is extremely special. Her insights, knowledge and compassion mean the practices really nourish and restore the body, mind and spirit – showing that healing truly is possible.’
‘I had such a wonderful time…Karen and Ryan …so welcoming and kind….have created the most incredible place. It is simple and yet felt luxurious. The food was amazing and every mouthful felt nourishing.
As a teacher Sarah was wonderful. Her lessons were restorative and gentle which was exactly what we all needed. I feel that I learnt a lot and developed my yoga practice. Sarah was incredibly intuitive of every student’s needs so we all felt the benefits. Her positive energy rubs off on everyone…it felt like having a reset button pushed.’
