The Yoga Sutra-s of Patanjali
Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra-s are the earliest and most important teaching on yoga. They are of interest to anyone who wants to know more of the ideas behind yoga practice, and especially to all yoga teachers. They are fascinating and ultimately transformational.
I am teaching a Zoom class from 11.30 to 12.30 on the following mornings: Saturdays July 20; Sept 28, Oct 12, Nov 16 and Dec 7. We are going through the Yoga Sutras very slowly. The classes cost £11 each, or £36 for 4. I usually manage to record and send them to the participants. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t done them all – each session can stand on its own.
If you would like to join, you need to download Zoom, (which is free, see below) and contact me, and I shall give you the link.
I am also doing another series, even more slowly, in the Dorchester Yoga and Therapy Centre (14 Trinity Street, Dorchester DT1 1TU) on Saturday mornings. These sessions are from 10.30 to 11.45am. They cost £12 for one and £40 for four. Dates are: July 13; Sept 7, Oct 5, Nov 23 and Dec 14. This is a small group where people discuss these fascinating ideas very freely. If you would like to come, please do. You don’t have to have attended all the others – each session can stand on its own.
Each of these Dorchester sessions will be followed by a Vedic Chanting session, from midday to 1pm. Vedic Chanting adds another dimension to yoga practice. it’s a very beautiful way of accessing the meditative state. You can attend one or both. The Chanting sessions will be by donation, to a charity.
If you’re not already on Zoom, you can download it here:
